PAST EVENTS IN 2010
Here at TSL, we are getting all excited about our maestros Adrian and Amanda Costa visit, who will once again be teaching at TSL for the first two weeks of October 2010!
For many of those who know this couple, including those who made it to our wonderful Tango holiday this year taught by them (two blissful weeks in a Chateau in the South of France, with over 65 residential students in total!), you know what a treat this is.
Adrian and Amanda distill the essence of Salon tango in a profound and delicious way, honoring their maestros and passing on a great heritage with clarity and generosity.
The Costa’s will be teaching our regular weekly classes on Tues 5th &Tues 12th October, 7 30 til 9 30 pm.
Tuesday 5th (9 30- 11 30pm) will also include a Tango music quiz in the Constitutional hall lounge hosted by A&A. You are invited to bring a dish to share, and drinks will be served at the bar!
No need to book for any of the above.
A&A will be teaching on the weekend of 9th/10th October at TSL’s Hampshire location. These workshops are nearly full, with a few places left for leaders on Sat, and a few for leaders & couples on Sunday. Of course you are all welcome to join our Ball in Selborne hall (8 30-12pm, £12), Sat 9th October, with Dj’ing and performance by Adrian and Amanda Costa.

In order to get into shape for their visit (and their quiz!), we will be introducing a different orchestra in our regular weekly classes in the runup, and summarizing some of the essential elements taught on the tango holiday as well as including some new material. Although we will focus on the below orchestras, we will also play other ones so it’s not just one orchestra all night!

Nalya Vacca & Alejandro Hermida , Wednesday 17th March
Tangosouthlondon is delighted to host a very special couple who are touring Europe, and will be in London just for 3 days. Nalya Vacca & Alejandro Hermida are delightful exponents of the Tango Salon (in the style of Villa Urquiza), so they are a perfect compliment to the style Luis and I teach (and Adrian & Amanda Costa).
Nayla & Alejandro will be teaching at TSL on Wednesday 17th March.
7 15-8 15pm Fundamentals of Villa Urquiza (all levels)(10 pounds)
8 15-9 45 Improver/Intermediate level Villa Urquiza (1 and a half hours, 15 pounds)
Taking both classes is 20 pounds (5 pounds discount)
The classes will be progressive, so they recommend taking both. No need to book, just turn up.
There is a free practica til 10 30pm.
